Forged magnesium wheels are produced by compressing heated alloy under thousands of tonnes of pressure. The result is a denser, grain-aligned structure that resists deformation and impact far better than cast alternatives. Cast wheels are poured into molds — faster and cheaper to produce, but heavier and more brittle under stress.
